Question:

My girl dog is having trouble peeing? ?

When I got up this morning my dog went out for a pee, and she was having trouble. She could only let out dribbles, and she had to try a couple times. She is also smelling it very curiously, as if it smells different. She got fixed a couple months ago, she is 10 months old. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what this could be? My mom said maybe we should give her cranberry juice, would that be ok for her? Should we? Help! Thank you!

  1. If she has recently been spayed I would be concerned if now she is not peeing, when b*****s have been spayed in rare cases it causes urinary incontinence.

  2. It sounds like a UTI. Take her in to the vet, give them a urine sample, they will prescribe some pills for her and she will be peeing normally in no time =]

  3. Most likely she has a bladder infection. You need to try to get a specimen and take it and her to the vet for evaluation. Cranberry juice does not have the effect on dogs as it does humans. Try to get her to the vet today.

  4. I think going to see a vet is the best thing you can do.

Don't give her cranberry juice. That could make her sick b/c there is a lot of sugar in it.

A vet needs to see her to figure out what it is and then to treat it. If it is an infection she will need antibiotics.

  5. It's probably a UTI like everyone else has said. Don't give her anything you would give a human to cure something. Dogs are completely different!

You need to take her to the vet. To cut down on the cost, bring in a urine sample with you when you go.

  6. Cranberry juice will cure nothing.

Sounds like she has a bladder infection. She needs antibiotics, which a a veterinarian can prescribe. Don't give her any over the counter medication, or any medicine intended for humans.
