He sends sexual text messages and has posted us on the internet saying derogatory things Icalled him to ask him to remove the statements on the internet and he had me arrested for harassment. I was a former inmate in his prison and he will not stop. It was a nonviolent crime for which I served a year and a half including the shock program. I just want to live in peace. He has beat my girlfriend up in the past and he terrifies her. We have tons of his threats recorded on the phone. He is nuts and it really disturbs me that he can do this. HELP!!!!!!

  1. report all incidents to the local police, make police reports, file for a restraining order and press charges against this person. One should never attempt to talk with someone who is harassing you, let law enforcement and courts deal with the person.

  2. Have you called the prison? His boss may speak with him about his behavior.  I would consider making a police report on what you have. Make sure you keep everything documented. In case you do have to contact a lawyer.

I'm not a lawyer, but I hope this helps.

  3. Documentation

    stalking laws come into effect.

Have him arrested next time the text message appears, take pictures. etc etc.

write things down. print internet pages out as proof, copy everything. Then really ruin his life.

  4. You can do nothing.  Your girlfriend on the other hand can do a lot.  First she needs to get an order of protection against him.  Then she needs to document every violation of that order.  She needs to press charges against him, and file a complaint against him with his supervisor.  If he doesn't stop, he will find himself on the other side of the bars.

  5. There are a few options that you can try.  First, you can approach his boss or supervisor if they will talk to you and bring it their attention.  Maybe that will work.  Secondly, you can call the police and make phone harassment reports on each occasion that he harasses you.  Or you can contact an attorney and pursue some kind of civil action if there is any character defamation occurring.  Good Luck

  6. Get a lawyer and report him to the police - the state police, etc if he's part of the local force
