Now she's having bad pains and swelling in her jaw because her wisdom teeth are coming in. I had mine taken out a few years ago and it cost like 1500 hundred bucks. I called and begged my mom to pay for it and she agreed reluctantly, but my girlfriend has no parents. We can't put it on a credit card because the one credit card I do have is in collections. I can't stand to see her in pain but I have no idea how to pay for oral surgery...what can I do?

  1. Well, srry to hear about your bf.

bring her to the emergency room.

they will give her pain medicine for the night.

Monday, apply for medical help from hospitals and stuff.

sounds like you need to get a second job also.

and in Nov. you need to vote for the person who will gives us the middle class health care and make the gas companies pay more tax.

  2. See if there is a dental college in your town and/or talk to the Dept. of Human Services for your state. Here in Dallas we have Baylor College of Dentistry; I've been there for stuff and it was fine. The one doing the work is close to graduating and is supervised by a fully-qualified dentist (his instructor). It's usually about half or even less. DHS may help with cost.

  3. Can you get another job on the side to make some extra money? Work at a restaurant or something

  4. If you don't have insurance I would suggest to go to a clinic where you usually pay $10 there is usually one in every other city

Or I would say about $200 if not more. And the antibiotics well, it could range from $20-$100. I hope this helps. I wish you both the best of luck on everything. Oh I almost forgot to help your girlfriend out in the mean time if you go to your local drug store you can get some orajel. It works wonders with the numbing the pain. It does not fight the pain but it does numb it and helps it heal and relaxes more. It usually cost $3-8. Maybe some advil PM would help alot too.

  5. Yeah thats the problem goverment should provide to us ppl i mean u can go on like a plan like pay 100 a month or make ur gf a w***e for like 5-6hours

  6. While you are figuring out what to do about your g/f's teeth, you might want to visit your local medical doctor and get something for that swelling.  It may be an infection, and if she has an infection, she can't have her teeth removed even if you did have the money, until the infection is cleared up.  Medical Doctors have to treat you even if you can't pay.

  7. Maybe you can go to a free clinic is your area.  They may do the surgery for free, or at a reduced cost.  Try calling the local S.R.S office and ask them if there are any free dentist in town.  I know in my area they have one that comes around for about a week out of the year.  I hope this helps.

  8. Try getting her on medical, unfortunately a lot of Dr.s don't accept it but you might be able to find one that does.

    Best wishes!
