My girlfriend cheated on me with my friend

Why do girls cheat on boyfriends. Why can't they just come out and say "its time for us to move on"?  This is really silly and they should have more respect for themselves.  Cheating on your boyfriends is just as bad as robbing, in this case arm robbery steals emotions and trust, which in my eyes is a bigger crime them robbing someone of their belongings.
