She gets urinary tract infections quite a bit after intercourse. She is on her third in the past two months. I'm really worried about her.

  1. sometimes it can be caused by rear entry.

  2. have you ever thought that maybe you are giving her them?

  3. She needs to make sure she goes to the bathroom after s*x and pee. This will flush out any bacteria.

Also, tell her to drink cranberry juice or take cranberry tablets. This berry inhibits UTI's and can be taken as a preventative.

  4. This happened to me.  It is apparently very common in young sexually active women.   Be sure that you are both clean before having s*x (no post work out humping).  Taking cranberry pills (sold at pharmacies) can help as can peeing right after s*x.  If it keeps happening she may need to get a prescription to take an antibiotic each time you have s*x (according to my doctor, also very common).  They aren't very expensive, but it does kind of make s*x a little less fun.

  5. You're having too much s*x and she probably doesn't go to the bathroom and clean afterward though the first half is most likely the major part of the issue

  6. Mabye u r just helping the bacteria to move into her urethra and causes the uti, this is the infection resulting from the heat im guessing from intercourse This heat helps the bacteria to grow there mabey from ur genitals or from her own area and u just help it go there

  7. That is very common. It is said that it is helpful to pee after intercourse. I used to work in a pharmacy and a patient received antibiotics with the directions: "take before intercourse" apparently for the same reason. A doctor may be able to help work something out so this is not such a problem.

Are you using a condom? Maybe it is something more serious.

For now, get her something with high vitamin C and lots of sympathy.

  8. HI I am so sorry to hear that she is getting them more frequently. I used to get them all the time and let me tell you she needs to go directly to the restroom after intercourse. I mean that for some reason if you do not go to the restroom right after the bacteria builds up and if you fall asleep after it sits in the vaginal cavity all night and starts to form the bad bacteria that some people can not fight off with out medication.

You're going to laugh but it really works tell her if she is starting to feel pain after intercourse to use a little bit of olive oil down there and it will sooth the irritation. Hope she feels better.

  9. It is normal for some girls to get UTI's with intercourse. However she still needs to get meds for it or it will not get better. Allergies also could be an issue with some forms of birth control, which is easily remedied with a change.

Either way it is nothing to be worried about; normal and easily fixed. I have experienced this inconvenience myself.
