  1. It might be a good idea for both of you to take some parenting classes.  You don't mention the circumstances of why the child was taken away but showing social services that you two are serious about making a good stable home for the child will help your situation.

If you think part of the reason that the child was removed from the home was because of your sexual orientation, you might seriously consider moving to a state that is more tolerant.

  2. depending on the state there could be a long line of stalling and discrimination, but as long as yall are clean living, stable and would treat her right, the government coulding keep her away.

  3. I think it is quite possible.  Childrearing by a L*****n couple has not been fully accepted in many parts of society.  Your relationship and living together may pose as a plausible hurdle in getting her child back.  But then again I don't know why the child was taken away in the first place.  If you know the answer then maybe that would help in answering your question.

  4. Not because of you, the only thing that matters is that if she is a good parent, stable, a good influence and can provide for the child.  The circumstance or reason as to why she lost the child is not based on her sexuality preference.  As long as her partner is also safe around children and has positive influences around the child including yourself.

  5. No, I don't think they legally could.

  6. If you have a criminal record, maybe, but just for being a L*****n, no.

  7. They can't really keep her child away from her because of this but my sister lost her son because she is a L*****n. I think that people should be allowed to live their lives the way they want to but the laws and other people are so cruel. My nephews father didn't have anything to do with him for the first year of his life but then out of nowhere decided he wanted custody and he ended up winning because she is a L*****n. I hope everything works out for both or you and that she gets her child back. Good luck.
