My girlfriend is a Filipina, and an illegal immigrant. She Says she is CA. I wonder.. Could she be fooling me?

My girlfriend is an illegal immigrant. She possesses a World Driver's License. I know her passport has expired too. She claims this past Friday to have flown from New Jersey, where I live, to San Diego, where Filipinos are gathering for a class reunion. She is supposed to return Tomorrow (Monday 5-26)After talking with another illegal Filipina, She told me airport security is tight, and she will get nabbed by INS. She told me she cannot fly on a commercial airline for that purpose. Now I am wondering if my Filipina girlfriend even went at all, and perhaps is having a fling, and lying to me. What makes things even more interesting is she called me at 12:00 AM ET, which would be 9:00 PM PT. Her calls were very limited in length, and her "I love you" was said in a very low and quick voice. Your thoughts, comments and knowlege will be appreaciated. Also, how should approach this situation? I do not want to show the knowledge learned here, yet I want to show my hand. Is she lying to me

well, i agree, you need to talk to her and not us about that one.  but, if you really want to know for sure if she did go CA, offer to call her back at her friends house, since you did not mention she would be staying at a hotel, and see what she says to that.  you can tell by the area code if she is in CA or not.  a refusal would leave her suspect.

Sounds like a pretty complicated situation here.  Maybe time to step away and let her handle the problem.  ICE agents are in the news for making raids and picking up illegals around the country. so it's hard to say without knowing more.  If she overstayed her VISA she will have to go home and get it cleared up..

all i can say is that any illegal alien who has an expired photo ID like drivers license and passport cannot board an aircraft anywhere in the US.  they will be caught because at the security, you need to present a valid photo ID or passport.  she can be detained by airport security if she doesn't have a valid photo ID or passport and the INS will deport her.
