My girlfriend is a naturalized english citizen. She was born in the US and holds a dual citizenship. She cannot move back to the states for a number of reasons, and I would like to move there to be with her. As a naturalized citizen, would she be able to move me there under a fiancee visa, or is that reserved only for natural born citizens? That would be the easiest way, I know there are multiple schemes for immigration such as the skilled workers and everything. I was just wondering if she has that right. Thanks in advance!

  1. She is a citizen so, yes you should be able to get a fiancee visa.

You will have to get married within 6 months and must have met her.

You will need proof of EVERYTHING.

Have you lived to gether for more than 2 years? If so you will be able to get an unmarried partner visa which means that you don't have to get married if you're not ready/ don't have the money.

It's better to have too much proof than too little. Ask the British Embassy for more information.
