My girlfriend left to the NAVY's boot camp on July 30th. When will I hear from her?

My girlfriend left Wednesday July 30th to the Chicago, Illinois. I haven't from her, only when she got to the airport of Chicago. She called me from one of her partner's cell phone. I havent received the 5 minute call either. She hasnt called her parents! They have been calling me asking about her! Of course I havent heard from her! I am also worried because she didnt take her last pregnancy tes, I am woory that she is pregant and I dont know. How can I get some info about that? And when will I get the address of where she staying at to send her some letters. ?

She probably attempted to call her parents & they weren't home (and the phone call is no where near 5 minutes all they say is "Recuit ___ has arrived at ___" and then the DI hangs up the phone).

The first week she'll be "in-processing" and won't have an address or time to write letters. You should get the first letter around the end of the 2nd week which will contain her address.

Also, she has to go through MEPS again before she's shipped off to basic training and as a girl she'll be given a pregnancy test so she's definately not preggo if they still shipped her.

Don't worry if she called her parents then they didn't pick up, it's 10 seconds max. She's processing, getting her shots, hair cut if she needs one, by the 2nd or 3rd week you may get a letter.

You can call her recruiter by now he ask her address, so you can start writing right away she will get the letters even if she can't reply. They only get Sundays to write.

If they put her on the plane, she's likely not pregnant since they test before leaving MEPS. If she's very early in her pregnancy and it doesn't show, she'll be processed out weeks from now when they do catch it. Sometimes it takes a few days to get a phone call. Don't expect a lot of calls...it's bootcamp, not summercamp. It's only 8 weeks and that tends to go fast.

Give her a few days to get with her group & settle in.  It can take a little time before she even knows what address she can tell you to send letters.

Maybe she tried to call her parents & they weren't home?  It's not like their going to let her hang out at the phone.

Relax, ok?  You'll probably get a letter in the mail within the next few days.  Then you can write her back.

my wife left for bootcamp on june 4th. that was a wednesday. We got her address on june13th. that was a friday.  her first letter came not the next wednesday, but the one after that. They, can only send letters on sunday, but usually not their first sunday there. (i was there three years ago) and i live in san antonio, and they always get here on wednesday.(she's in great lakes IL.)

They test for pregnancy before they even leave, so, she's not pregnate. They also test again when they get there. Sorry you didnt get the phone call. My wife said she would call me, but she called her mom instead. Go figure. ( besides, it's actually a 10 second phone call, not 5 minutes. I guess they dont want people to get all choked up) When i was there, I tried to call, but no one answered. Plus, if she didnt have a phone card when she left, her only option was to make a collect call. I know for a fact that cell phones dont accept collect calls. She will call again at around the time she's been gone 3 and a half weeks. She's probably stressed as h**l and wants to come home, so send her as many encouraging letters as you can. Send pictures of yourself. Be creative and write as often as possible. She will REALLY APPRECIATE IT! trust me on this.
