My girlfriend might be pregnant?

My girlfriend and I are getting ready to head off to college and she might be pregnant. We have been dating for three years and have been active for about two of them. She is on birth control and I always use a condom. Also, to our knowledge we have never had the condom break. She does not remember getting a period last month and is two weeks late this month so now we are starting to get worried. She has said her stomach hurts and has not felt the best. However, she has had a lot of stress lately with working and getting ready to move. She is out of town until next wednesday and we are planning to do a HPT when she gets back. I know her family would be devastated if she was indeed pregnant. We are both freaking out now and we are just looking for adivce. Thanks for your help!

sounds to me that she is not pregnant.  even when you are trying you only have a 20% chance.  If you are using protection, you are fine.  going away to college is very stressful.  have her take an hpt for your peace of mind.

Has she been sick recently where she needed to take antibiotics? Antibiotics completely wipe out the birth control. If not than its probably just stress. It sounds like ya'll have been more than careful so I doubt she's pregnant, but she should take a HPT just to be sure. If she isn't pregnant, than she may want to consult her doctor about the birth control she's on and maybe switch to another brand.

i was on birth control and my bf was using a condom....and guess what? nothing is fullproof! wish you the best!

First off......breathe it will be ok sweetie!!

Stress can make a girl miss her period, this I know for sure I have missed mine for 4 months at a time!

Even if she is she doesn't need to be stressing herself out. Life has a funny way of working everything out!

When she gets back have her take the test, and if I were in your shoes the best thing I know to do is PRAY!

I have a friend who is pregnant for her 2nd child, her first is only 9 months old. She was on BC and her husband always used a condom they also didn't have any breaks. Sometimes it can still happen. Have her take a HPT.

Just relax...too much stress can cause a woman to miss her period and can also cause other symptoms.  It sounds like you guys were very safe and should have nothing to worry about.  There is always a possibility, but why dont you cross that bridge when you come to it (:  Take the test and then see where you stand.

Just go take a test but have her take it in the morning. Make good desisions about what to do with the baby you might be having! :D
