My girlfriend reads romantic novels and watches chickflicks?

My girlfriend reads romantic novels and watches chickflicks even though I tell her not to. I hate it! It is so demeaning to men. I told her I can not live up to the ideals presented in this trash. I can not take her to Paris in the blink of an eye. I can't swordfight other men in order to protect her honour. I just have to work to keep bread on the table, and she does it when I am off to work. I feel it is almost like she is cheating on me with the fictitous characters. What should I do? She says she is going to stop doing it, but I keep finding her novels under the mattress and DVDs hidden in closet.

demeaning towards men?  They're always the hero!  How is that demeaning?  I personally don't read romance novels because of the lack of a plot line,  but I like "chickflicks" just as much as any girl.  There's nothing wrong with them.  It's just a genre of movies.  And believe it or not, not all chick flicks have anything to do with romance.  Some are just inspirational.  A good story.

Let her have her novels. I'm sure she isn't expecting you to sword fight for her honor just because she reads them.

You can't control everything she does.

Give up s*x, looking at women, watching sports, and beer. Women crave love like men crave s*x. It's the closest thing we have to a man who loves us for who we really are. Before you accuse her of cheating her, make d**n sure that there is no way that you could POSSIBLY be cheating on her in ANY WAY.
