My girlfriends father!

OK I've been dating my girlfriend since march. I love her to death and before being my girlfriend she was and still is my best friend. The only problem is her dad. He is racist towards me because I'm not white. I love her but this also bothers me. At first I told her, plus i didn't let it get to me. But now it just ticks me right off. I don't know what to do. Please help me out!!!

That's a really difficult issue because if her father is racist, that isn't something that can be easily changed. It's true that if you love someone enough, you should be able to stay with them no matter what, but family is really important and being with her means that you also have to deal with her family. I don't think that there is really much you could do except for maybe try to get on her dad's good side or ignore him for the sake of your relationship. I'm sorry that I wasn't much help...I hope you figure something out though!
