Because 'general wear' is a vague term. So: what does it mean; or is it ambigous on purpose? Surely If I'm suppossed to wear them all the time, I would have been told that they're for 'constant wear'.

  1. It means you need them most of the time, not just for driving or reading but you will need them for most activites, hence the name "general."

  2. it means you have to wear them all day-not just for reading.

  3. The best way and times to wear glasses is when you feel you need them.

If for certain activities , you feel you need the clearer vision ,  wear them...for other activities, if you fell you can see well enough without them...then don't wear them.

Glasses are just made to provide visual comfort, so wear them when they make you the most comfortable.

The terms such as general wear don't really mean anything , except that they CAN be used for most activities.

  4. I have to say im not surprised it was Specsavers who used the term as in optics the term shouldn't be used. Without knowing your prescription i couldn't answer your question, however you should be able to determin when you require your glasses.

As it is 'general wear' would lead me to assume you are short sighted in which case you require your glasses for looking and focusing at things in the distance.

  5. it means that you will never be a lance corporal

  6. That means they'll be on your face when you're awake!

  7. This means you have to wear them all day, like for distance.

  8. footprin spot on I wear specs most of the time, but I sometimes take them off unless I have to read then ,on they go. good luck
