  1. The gold fish do get lighter overtime and if you change their diet it makes it faster. Try color enhancing food, ask for advice at a local pet store.

  2. Goldfish change color over time, it's normal especially in commons. Their orange color/red color is equivalent to us getting a tan. To maintain it, they need light and a good diet. What are you feeding your fish?

  3. thats normal for fish to do actually, i've seen a case where a lionhead goldfish went from bright orange to a chocolate brown in like weeks. so dont worry

  4. gold fish get there color from light

http://www.kokosgoldfish.com/disease.htm... means they need more light. or its possible about this disease.

  5. Yes, it is normal.

When I was younger I had several gold fish.

Over the course of months they all changed their colors.

I surely didn't know why, but just noticed it.

    They do not need sun.

    Hope it helps.
