  1. No this is slightly off subject, however, years ago, kiddie pools had the intake for the filter system generally in the center bottom of the pool and there are hundreds of stories of children getting their intestines sucked into the filtration system (made worse when the adults ran over and tried to pull them out without shutting the filtration off first).  It happens.

  2. ahhhh that is so sad.

  3. Not to be crude but is this some kind of a joke? You shouldn't even be using that strong of a device to clean a fish tank. No it's eyes will not grow back and you will be very lucky if it even lives. Sorry I am not trying to be mean but next time be more careful.

Edit: Because you sucked her eyes off....there are blood vessels in your eyes she is probably calm because she is about to die. I am sorry!

Edit: In this circumstance I think it would just be best if you humanely euthanize the fish put it in a little jar and add a few drops of clove oil. It will stop the fish from suffering.

  4. No eyes don't grow back and most likely the fish will die of infection.

  5. your fish is calm because they do not register pain. their brains are so small that they feel no pain. that part isn't developed. i would say goodbye to your fish...my fishy died today too....but he was almost 5....best of luck...it was the same type of goldfish too! mine was black.

  6. Why did you remove your fish from the main tank?

No the eye will not grow back but that doesn't mean she will die either.  Moving the fish stressed her out more than loosing an eye.  Now that you have her in a bowl, you will want to treat the water with an anti bacterial.  It will bleed but should soon stop.  The best thing you can do to help save your fish is to get an antibacterial and treat the water she is in.  Place the fish in the bowl in the refrigerator.  This will force your fish to hybernate and slow down all of its functions.  This will give your fish time to heal slowly from the wound.  Believe me this will help your fish if she is to have any chance of survival.  The bleeding as well will slow to stop keeping her from bleeding out.

I breed and raise koiand goldfish and have for many years.  This is what we do with show fish that get injured.

  7. No, they will not grow back.  And she'll probably not live.

What kind of suction device were you using to have enough power to suck the eyes off your fish anyway???
