My goldfish has red spots and the tail is red also but he acts normal?

Red spots and streaks are typical of bacterial infections. Is your aquarium new? If it is it could have been caused by ammonia burn, which led them to be more likely to get a disease. If not, isolate the fish unless he has the tank to himself. You could treat with salt or medication. Depends if you want to try a natural approach or just head straight for medication.

I have done this before i just use rocksalt plus methylene blue with good aeration.  Observe for 2 to 3 days for improvements and do daily partial water change.

This is probably septicemia, if he's acting normal.  The other likely possibility is ammonia poisoning, but the fish would likely stop eating and gasp at the surface.  Start with more frequent water changes-- stressed fish are more likely to get infected, and poor water quality is stressful.  Remove any activated carbon from the filter and begin treating with Maracyn 2, Maracyn TC, Furan 2, Triple Sulfa, Trisulfa, Metronidazole, Flagyl, Hexamit, Kanaplex, or similar gram negative or anaerobic bacteria effective medications.  If using anything minocycline or tetracycline based, keep the tank dark during treatment, as these drugs degrade with exposure to light.

EDIT: If it is septicemia, salt will be useless.  The bacterium responsible will tolerate a salinity FAR higher than the fish would (all the way to marine conditions!).

my goldfish did that too once! It went away but he only lived a few months later. I think its a skin disease or something
