  1. I HATE it when my shaft makes noises...

  2. heck yeah, they probably left a chunk of metal inside

    take it back asap

  3. If the sound turns into a problem then I would take it back to the place or call up the manufacturer. Another option would be to just go and exchange it for another at the store claiming that you got the club as a give and you just would like something else

  4. have it checked/fixed!

  5. well there could be something broken inside you should take it back and get a new one.

  6. My brothers always told me that meant it was broken...

  7. Take the rubber grip off it and shake out whatever's inside it.

  8. take it to a golf shop take the shaft out and remove the lose stuff.

  9. If it is a new club, then return/exchange it. If it is a used club then they probably won't do anything for you. Also you may want to re-grip it if it is used, in which case you can get the rattly thing out at that time.

Chances are a rattle will get worse and at least be a nuisance and hinder your game anyway. You should either return or fix the problem.

  10. Make an "X" in the butt end of the grip with a small knife and pry open a small opening so the piece of epoxy can fall out. The grip will return to its original shape and you won't have your rattle.

  11. google it

  12. It is probably just a little peice of epoxy that came loose where they connected the head to the shaft.  You could remove the grip and just shake it out (which is what they will do if you return it).  It probably isn't effecting the club in anyway, but I know it is distracting to hear it rattle while you swing.

  13. Noise you hear is a small piece of epoxy hardener material normally used to fasten the shaft to the golf head.  Tiny piece of leftover material came loose and it probably sounds like tiny BB inside shaft, right?  Solution would be to take to golf shop and have them remove grip on the club.  Pretty easy to do and does not cost much.  Most shops can use needle with compressed air and remove grip, turn club upside down and tiny piece of epoxy material will run right out onto the floor.  Use a tiny bit of solvent made for reinstall of grip and replace grip on the club or put new grip on the club for golf season 2008.  Next issue:  is rattle in the "head" of the club?  If yes, you will need professional guys to remove the head from shaft and shake out the tiny BB-sized pellet inside the head.  Not a bad job, but better left in hands of experienced golf fitter to prevent damage to shaft of club and to re-epoxy shaft onto club.
