My gown is a very simple halter. I want to wear something over it that would cover my upper arm. Suggestions?

I can't decide what would look best with my dress. Here's the url for it on the David's Bridal website:

  1. That's a pretty wedding dress. Maybe something like this...http://www.davidsbridal.com/accessory_de...

  2. What a beautiful gown!

What to choose depends on what you want to do.  Are you talking permanent cover for the arms, or just something for a church?

If you're looking for something temporary, you could go with a shawl or bolero jacket.  If your concern is to conceal the upper arm, you may wish to go with a dress with sleeves.

    Good luck.

  3. you can do any of these  type  i would recomend to get a  person in the area that can get or make it with the same material or go for something like these  they look like they might work

  4. That is a beautiful gown. I love the draped waist. Be sure to post some pictures when you get them.  :)

As for the wrap - I think you could do something very simple - a shawl or even a fur wrap would look nice. I also like the way that the girl in the picture has her upper arms covered with the veil. If you are worried about being cold then that's different - but if you just want to hide your upper arms you could think about getting a veil that drapes around the arms like the girl in the picture.

Also, you could try looking at some of the reviews on the David's Bridal website. A lot of girls post pictures of themselves in the dress when they do the reviews. If you look at halter gowns you might see something that you like. For me it always helps to see things on real brides rather than models.

  5. I suggest you get a white sash or shawl

  6. a wrappish shawl would be pretty

  7. GORGEOUS. check arounsd other bridal stores or even david's.  Look for a white bolero jacket. or you could go with a wrap of some kind.

  8. I'm wearing a lacy little bolero jacket with my gown for the ceremony, unless it's extremely hot that day!  The jacket is long sleeved and just hits the top of my gown in the back, but it compliments the dress beautifully.

I think a sheer and slightly detailed bolero would be beautiful with your gown!  David's Bridal does have a selection of boleros, but most bridal shops can get them for you.  You could also visit a fabric store and talk to the staff about local seamstresses who could make one for you.  They are really easy to make and then you can select your choice of fabrics and notions!

    Best wishes!!!

  9. I would say check out a silk chiffon sheer wrap.  They can be found at most bridal shops and compliment just about every dress style.  They also don't interfere with veils if you are having one!

  10. Beautiful dress.  I had a halter neck and wore a wrap with it (although the dress came with it!)  I did find that a veil didn't look right with it, so I didn't have one and did a big fancy hairstyle with a bigger tiara instead.  A bolero jacket looked good with it too, but my bridesmaids dresses had wraps so I went for that with mine.

    I'm sure you'll look gorgeous.
