  1. The doctors always told me the longer it takes the better.  My daughter got her first she was 15 months old my son got his first tooth when he was the same age.  He is now 17 months old and has 4 teeth.  Doctors will not worry until they are two years old

  2. It's normal.  All babies are different, and some teethe later than others. (Did your kids teethe late? If so, it's probably genetic.)

  3. Some babies just take a lot longer to get teeth.  Many of them don't get them until 1yr, but some may take even longer.  If she seems otherwise healthy and normal (good weight gain and reaching milestones at the right time) then don't worry!  If you want you can take her to the doctor to hear his advice/opinion, but I'm sure he's already aware of this and if it was a problem he would've said something by now.

  4. It's perfectly normal for babies to not get their first tooth until they're around 1 year old.  If you're truly worried, make an appt. with her pediatrician to have her/him have a look at the baby's mouth.  I would be surprised if the pediatrician isn't already aware of this fact, however, and isn't concerned.

  5. That is odd.  If you are really concerned, I would book an appointment with the dentist.  They will do a Panarex (x-ray that circles around the entire jaw line).

  6. It's different for every child to grow out there first teeth. If your worried about her take her to a dentist.
