  1. You should be concerned with blood pressure that is consistently above 150 over 90. Things that may help until he gets meds or medical advice is:

Avoid getting over excited and stressed out.

Try to keep hydrated with coconut water or gator aid.

    Avoid salty food.

Add garlic to food or take garlic supplements.

Ginger will also help, and sooth nausea.

Go take a walk for a half hour or so a couple times a day.

    .

  2. Contact the Red Cross for help.  Has he missed several doses of his medication? Is he really stressed because of the storm and having to be evacuated.  He should be brought to an emergency department ASAP because his BP is too high, Best of luck getting home soon I can only imagine how stressful this is for all your family.

  3. Is there like a little clinic that you can go to or anything or contact a clinic and see what you shoud do.  That is a high blood pressure and something needs to be done so he dosen't have a heart attack.

  4. First of all, he's your Grand Father, never stop worrying about him!

Have him avoid strenuous activities and continue to call and Email local hospitals/med centers and perhaps even try the Red Cross.  YOU WILL get the medications needed but it will take effort.

  5. You shouldn't worry, he should.

  6. Eat less animal fat like meat, eggs, cheese & ice cream.

  7. contact the red cross
