My grandfather always said "You can do it on one leg Lindy". Where did it come from?

I thought it had to do with Charles Lindberg flying across the Atlantic nonstop. But who said it and why did it become a saying?

  1. I've not heard of that one, and it didn't show up on a quick Google search, either.  It sounds like a variation on: "I could do it with one hand tied behind my back" or "I could do it with my eyes shut".

    meaning: It's very easy for me.
