My grandfather came from Besahnk Pommern, Germany. Any info on the town?

I was told by a relative, that the town possibly existed where the US air force base is/was located in West Germany.

If it is Pommerania (Pommern) then it a large part of it is now Poland. Here are some sites with the current polish names for the German cities, but didn't see Besahnk. Are you sure of the spelling?
