to make a photo collage for the service. I don't have alot of photos so instead of the collages that are packed full of photos I guess I am looking for ideas more along the line of a scrapbook like collage. I am also looking for poems or wording that is appropriate. Any help is greatly appreciated. If you also have links to any ideas for memorials please post them.

  1. There is a beautiful song by The Judds called Grandpa it is a country song.

  2. Hope this works for you.  This poem gives me comfort when I read it.

Don’t cry at my grave, cause I won’t be there.

I’ll be in the breeze, that ruffles your hair.

I’ll be in the sunshine. I’ll be in the snow.

I’ll be in the places, that we use to go.

Ill be in your laughter and in funny things.

I’ll be in your shadow and there in your dreams.

I’ll be in your greetings but not your goodbyes.

I’ll be in the reflection, of your loving eyes.

I’ll always be with you and I’ll always care.

Don’t cry at my grave side cause I won’t be there.

The author is unknown to me, I found it on a headstone in the cemetery.

  3. Lyrics to that Judds song:   it is wonderful!

    Grandpa

Tell me 'bout the good old days.

    Sometimes it feels like

    This world's gone crazy.

Grandpa, take me back to yesterday,

Where the line between right and wrong

    Didn't seem so hazy.

Did lovers really fall in love to stay

Stand beside each other come what may

was a promise really something people kept,

Not just something they would say

Did families really bow their heads to pray

    daddies really never go away

    Whoa oh Grandpa,

Tell me 'bout the good old days.

    musical interlude

    Grandpa

    Everything is changing fast.

    We call it progress,

    But I just don't know.

And Grandpa, let's wonder back into the past,

And paint me a picture of long ago.

Did lovers really fall in love to stay

Stand beside each other come what may

Was a promise really something people kept,

Not just something they would say and then forget

Did families really bow their heads to pray

    daddies really never go away

    Whoa oh Grandpa,

Tell me 'bout the good ole days.

    Whoa oh Grandpa,

Tell me 'bout the good ole days.

    Musical interlude

    Humming

  4. You could ask a few family members or friends to write a brief anecdote about a favorite memory of your grandfather, type them up and post them on the board between the photos.
