My grandpa quit smoking and started chewing toothpicks. Since he died my grandma found a tooth pick in the dishwater and today I found toothpicks on the trunk of my car scatted in the snow. My grandma found a roseary in my grandpas stuff that was not there 3 days ago. Also my car died the day after he died. He gave me that car 6 yrs ago. Also we have 2 clocks in our house that my grandpa bought that keep stopping. Is there a sign he could be giving us??? We can't figure it out???

  1. With the toothpicks on the car thing - sounds like someone is taking advantage of your grief, or playing a trick on you.  It was a cruel thing to do, and it wasn't your grandfather.

As much as we hate to admit it, when people are gone, they are gone.  Do you really want to think that after you die, you hang around and make clocks run slowly and scatter toothpicks?  Don't you think if they could do that, they could find a concrete way to communicate?  The stuff that's going on that isn't obviously someone messing with you are just coincidences - you're looking for meaning in things that don't have any.  That's what we do - we look for patterns.  But sometimes a toothpick is just a toothpick.

  2. This can be very common after someone close to you dies ...they are little signs, that they leave for us...They will stop in the near future.. But do take notice of when these occurences take place...sometimes they are trying to let us know something..even that they are ok on the other side...Many people including myself have found pennies, that symbolized something from the person who passed away... Its called pennies from heaven....

  3. Interesting.  I am sorry to hear about your loss.

  4. Some one is playing tricks on you! Try to ignore things. And what do you mean by your "car died"? Do you want to say it got spoiled? It is 6 years old machine, get it repaired.

Ghosts don't go placing rosaries around, this is work of some living ghosts, keep a watch and you will catch him/her.

And watches, they must be as old as your grand-pa. Change the batteries or replace the watches it selves!

  5. All of the things that you mentioned are pretty much meaningless.

My dead father used to smoke cigarettes.  I found some cig butts out in my garden the other day, and some in the floor of my car.   He used to work on my car.  The other day the fuel pump went out.

Three out of my 6 clocks in my house have stopped working also.

You know what all of this means?  Pretty much nothing.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say that you grandfather is not doing it.

He is dead.   You just have to accept it.  Sorry for your loss.

As for some telling you that your grandfather is leaving you signs, etc.   How do you spell baloney?  Is it like that or Bologna.   Anyway,  I hope you get my point.

  6. It might be your grandfather..or it might not be him. It might be coincidences. If it's your grandfather..you won't have to go around looking for signs. Try ignoring the signs. I think if it's him..he'll keep doing things till you notice. Maybe you need to put his picture up..if it's not already...and maybe put a candle in front of it and light it..to let him know that you remember him. I 'm so sorry that you lost him. Isn't it sad that he quit smoking and then died? ! We think that if we quit smoking we'll live "forever".  Change the batteries in the clocks. As for your car..if he did it..maybe he was saying you need repairs done on it so you won't have a wreck.Maybe he's worried about you having a wreck..or thinks you need a new car. I'm just guessing. Say prayers for him and tell him you love him and miss him out loud. Did you have a memorial for him? Maybe if not you can do that..and say good things about him. Just because people are old..doens't mean they want to die and leave their loved ones.

  7. sorry about your loss.

your grandpa is still there with you though, they always are. all these signs are to show you he is still there watching over you. enjoy all the little signs, they are coming from him.

  8. More likely than not, this is just a string of unconnected coincidental events. You want them to be a sign that he is there with you, but unfortunatly he is not.

Ask yourself this, do you really want him missing out on the glory of heaven to be stuck roaming around for eternity, unable to communicate with anyone and unable to do anything but roam around scaring little children? If I thought a relative of mine was going through such a horrible fate, I would be beside myself.

Luckily it does not sound like that at all. It sounds like you want him to be there so bad you are looking for signs that he is there. Ask God for guidance.

  9. Maybe he's just saying goodbye and "Don't forget me"? :) Something like that happened to us before. My cousin left her mother's car in our garage because she had to fly to her mum's place because her mum is dying. Around 5 in the morning, I woke up to find the car making noise and it turns out, the engine was running! I peered into the window and found the doors LOCKED and the keys were with my cousin. It suddenly stopped after 30 minutes, and it wasn't because it was out of juice. Later that afternoon, we found out that my aunt died around 5 AM. Freaky, huh?

  10. without a doubt, and with out question your grandfather is going through extra ordinary means to give you signs. He disabled the car so that you would be safe. Please have that checked out.

  11. I am sorry to hear about your grandfather.  However, it seems like you are experiencing a little bit of confirmation bias here.  There could be plenty of rational explanations for what's going on.  For example, what was wrong with the car?  Do you think the timing belt (for example) broke because he died?  Toothpicks aren't that uncommon.  All clocks stop working eventually, especially if they're cheap.  Maybe he gave them to you because he was trying to get rid of some cheap clocks.

It seems like you got it in your head your grandfather is trying to communicate with you.  Once you get that in your head you are going to seek and find reasons to support this idea.

  12. People always seem to think that there is some mighty message that our loved ones are trying to send us from the other side. Unfortunately, I don't think that this is true most of the time. Usually, they just want to say hey and remind you that they love you and won't forget you and are waiting patiently for you to come to them on the other side. Just take solice in the fact that you know he is around and is still with you in some way. :)

  13. A mentioned before, you may just think that way because you WANT it to be true.

    But i dont think so.

I believe your grandfather is just letting you know he is there.

He wants you to realise he hasnt gone away.

Maybe he will send more messages soon?

But anyway, Goodluck with it, and never forget him! :)
