house has been sitting up since she passed and its an older house its paid for but i need to know how to go about selling it? i dont want to rent because i dont feel like i can handle the responsibility. whats a fast way to sell an old house it does needs repairs but i wanna sell as is..someone please help me

you can sell it buy owner, with a realtor or you can all the we buy ugly house people. they buy houses at the minimum value/or under.

Hire a good Realtor from a well known company.  The commission he charges is negotiable.  He will probably want to charge you 7 percent, but he will do 5 percent or 6 percent.  It cuts in to your profit, but it is worth it.  Do not sell it by owner, it is a pain in the butt, believe me.  After you sell it, you will also have other closing costs:  transfer taxes, attorneys fees, utilities etc...
