if her stomach is distended (looks like a balloon) then she needs help getting the gas out. i can't believe the doc didn't do anything to help. she could have an obstruction, blocking the passageway for the gas to escape. i think she needs to see another doctor. in the meantime, have her increase her fiber intake.
