My grandmother had died leaving behind a peace of land in Kerala.She has one son and 2 daughters.?

Her son and daughters are married and have kids.Now when the land is being partioned will it be distributed by the son and daughers alone by 1/3 each.Or will the grandchildren too have to be taken into account when partioning the land ? The son has 2 children and daughters have 3 and 4 children respectively.And there is two children from the grand daughters .Kindly enlighten me the mode of partition.

I would guess the one in the will would get the land. If there is no will then it will most likely go to court. The court will most likely give the land to the child that was closest to her or who helped take care of her.Sorry to hear about your loss.
