  1. It's probably best to get her enrollment card and find what % she really is.

My relative stated he was 7/8 white (as asked on the 1900 census).  When written on enrollment cards and census records it's writtin in this type of percents, i.e. 1/2, 7/8, etc

If she is 100% which seems to be rare then:

    grgrgrandma is 100

    grgrandma is 1/2

    grandma is 1/4

    ma is 1/8

    you are 1/16

Unless there is more indian to add from the spouses.

  2. I would say about 7% if knowone else in the bloodline beetween you and your great great grandma was native.

  3. big no to the previous question.

    Evey tribe works differently

if your great great grams was 100

    great grams=50

    grandma=25

    mom=8

    you.. 16th.

If any of the grandpops were native, it would be different as well.

  4. let me calculate.....

    ur great great grandma(100) +white(0)= great gradp/ma(50)

    ur geat granp/ma(50)+grandp/ma(0)=ur grandpa/ma(25)

    ur grandpa/ma(25)+grandpa/ma(0) =dad/mom (12.5 %)

    ur dad/mom(12.5)+dad/mom(0)= You (6.25 %)

If this is the story, you are 6.25% native according to pure maths!

  5. As some have said before it would be 6.25% granted that none of your other parents (the other birthparent of your ascendants).

your great great grandmother was 100%

if you great great grandfather was 0% then your great grandparent would be 50%

if your great grandparents spouse was 0% then your grandparent would be 25%

if your grandparent's spouse was 0% then your parent would be 12.5%

if your parent's spouse was 0% then you would be 6.25%.

This number can only go up. you are at a minimum of 6.25% Native American.

  6. It doubles for every generation, because a whole new side is added.

Here is you're American Indian bloodline:

    You're Great-Great-Grandparent-100%(4/4)

    You're Great-Grandparent-50%(1/2)

    You're Grandparent-25%(1/4)

    You're Parent-12.5%(1/8)

    You-6.25%(1/16)

One-sixteenth is actually a lot, even though this may not seem like it.A lot of times people with this blood degree look Indian.Principle Chief William P. Ross was one-sixteenth cherokee and he looked very cherokee. This is the blood requirement for the Western Band of Cherokee Indians in North Carolina. You are much blessed with this American Indian heritage.

  7. You would be 12.5% Native, provided no other members of your family also had Native American backgrounds, then it would be a larger percent. But not necessarily a shoe in for college.  It really depends on the tribe your GGGrandma belonged to.  Some of the tribes have very strict rules and regulations about members. You will need to check with the tribe she was a member of and see if she was on "the rolls", or a registered member.  From there you can do your own application and see if you can be admitted into the tribe. If you need more information, google tribal enrollment.

  8. 12.5 - assuming no one else had Native American ancestry.

  9. enough to get you into any college you want. With a full ride scholar ship.

What was your dad and mom?

I assume your mom married a white guy. so you're at least 50%

  10. If no more was added, just divide it in half per generation.

    Great Great - 100%

    Great - 50%

    Grandparent - 25% (1/4)

    Parent - 12.5% (1/8)

    You - 6.25% (1/16)

  11. Assuming no one else in your family is/was Native American, then you would be 1/16 Native American.

I like to visualize a rectangle, and draw a line in the middle for each generation, cutting it in half. Then for the next generation cut those in half, and so on.

    Hope I helped!

  12. Assuming that their are no other native Americans in your bloodline, you would be 1/16 (6.25%) native American.

    Great Great Grandma 100%

    Great Grandma 50% (1/2)

    Grandma 25% (1/4)

    Mom 12.5% (1/8)

    You 6.25% (1/16)
