Because I mean they are very close never fighting as far as I can tell they are both male....anyways just help me out please

  1. Green anoles turn brown when stressed so it sounds like you are doing everything right as far as feeding and keeping the temp. right in the tank. You mention they are very affectionate so they must not sense you as a threat. It is common when keeping two in the same tank for the brown coloration to occur.Apparently due to the difference in size the large one feels unthreatened, but the smaller is feeling some stress. It is recommended that males be in separate tanks. It is okay to have 1 to 2 females with a male.Anoles need to be checked for both internal and external parasites by a reptile vet.Parasites are very common. You also need to watch closely for dehydration.Dehydration will show as excess folds in the skin, sunken eyes, dark spots behind the eyes, and a loss of appetite. The tank should be misted 2 to 3 times per day with distilled water to ensure proper hydration.
