My ground wire keeps melting?

my grounding wire for my 1000w 2 ch amp keeps melt everything is hooked up right and its the right gauge wire so idk what the problem is

  1. you need to get a fatter wire 8 or 4 gage  


  2. It means you don't have something hooked up right, even the ground to the right surface, or the wire isn't the right gauge.

  3. The ground needs to be the same size as the power wire.

  4. Check if the ground is firmly attached to both amp and point of anchor. Loose connection causes sparks which can accumulate heat over time.

    Audio world does not have standardization on ratings. Therefore, Sony 1000-watt-RMS amp is no louder than Kicker 800-watt-RMS amp. Same thing with cable. It might say 4 gauge. It might look like 4 gauge. But, if you look closely, the manufacturer might twirl the power cable in a way makes it look big in outside cable diameter. You might have to check on your cable quality.
