My group is listed on yahoo groups but i can't find it with the yahoo search tool.why is that?

My group is listed on yahoo groups but i can't find it with the yahoo search tool.why is that?

If you're unable to search your group, this means that your group is not listed in the Group's directory.

You can check your group's setting through the following:

1. Click the "Management" link at the left sid of the page.

2. Under group Settings, click the Description and Appearance" link.

3. Click the "Edit" link next to Description.

4. Check your setting in the Listing Type.

If your group has been registered only recently the search engines may take a while to update. I heard they reset and add new records around 2am..

if it's newly created, the pages take a while to update. check the category of your group. if it's adult, you need to be on adult group pages or category for it to come up in the search
