My group isnt showing up in search?

its appearing in 'my groups' when is ign in but in the same window when i put it in the search window it wont show. It's a group for students and i need to make it work asap

When you set up your group, did you make it searchable in the yahoo group directory?  To check, go your group, click:

  Management  / Group Settings / Description & Appearance /Description   .......there you will see a box to check to list or not to list in the yahoo group directory.

Again, if it is newly created it does take a little bit of time.

if it's a newly created group, it wont list in the directory or show on a search for a few days

If it's a private group then it will not show up. You will have to invite the email address to the group.

It’ll get listed in the Yahoo! Groups directory within a few days, in the category that you select during the set-up process.
