  1. well it is probably not used to being handled by human hands. it might need another piggie if you only have one. and yes it might be because shes young but later when shes older she wont bite no more because she wont feel threaten. how would you feel if you were a kid living and saw huge aliens who tryed graving you??

youll try to protect yourself right??

hehe well just give her some treat from your hand so it would be able to start trusting you.

best of luck and hope it goes well.

  2. Your guinea pig was probably just scared because he's not used to the people's scent.

  3. I have never ever known a guinea pig to bite.  The only time mine have chewed on my fingers is when they smell food on my hand.  Make sure you always wash your hands before handling it.  Guinea pigs are skittish by nature.  Just take your time with him and don't scare him.  You have to earn his trust.

  4. if you just got it, that's normal...cuz its not used to you yet...but don't worry it will soon get used to you.....if ur afraid of her biting maybe you could wear gloves. Make sure you hold her correctly cuz she may be biting cuz she doesn't feel safe. and make sure to pick her up correctly.....don't just snatch it up cuz it'll be scared and more prone to bite.....just be patient! soon it will be a cuddly guinea pig that you will love to hold and it will love to be in ur arms!

  5. i would suggest wearing gloves and then pick it up, put it on your bed, and star petting it it will get used to you dont worry=D

  6. Was you Guinea pig mishandled and scared?

That would explain the biting. Give him time to adjust...don't force it. Pet him a little bit at the time so he will get used to your hand and eventually you can pick him up.
