She bites peoples scabs right off their skin, and she just bites period. EVERYTHING! Except carrots. How can we train her? i don't want her to eat my flesh off the bone... *Like that would happen*

She runs. She explores. As far as I know she feasts on ants! Anyways, I can't cuddle with her. She would rather be hanging out under a blanket or a pillow hut.

And I CAN NOT entertain her. She gets bored easily. Any suggestions? I want her to have a good ol' time doing what she would like to spend her spare time doing.

  1. guinea pigs do bite because its the most effective way to make their human go away. if she bites you and then you go away, she learns that biting gets her what she wants. guinea pigs who are not well socialized often bite because they dont like humans and biting makes them go away. next time she bites you, shriek loudly and blow her in the face. DO NOT HIT HER!! just a little puff in the face will show her that biting does not make you go away, but gets her a blow in the face and a loud noise, which is unpleasant. after a few times of that, she should get the point

  2. If your guinea pig bites you, it's because she does not like you or the way you think it needs to be entertained. Actually it's not just you... They typically don't like the company of any creatures much bigger than they are... Guinea pigs are not terribly intelligent compared to other rodents and don't get bored easily. Let her explore on her own. keep her out of trouble, but mostly leave her alone, especially during the daytime, when they sleep.

If a sixty foot giant kept picking you up out of bed all night, and petting you and shoving food in your face when you wanted to sleep, you might be kind of nasty too.

  3. My guinea pigs bite too. Buy them some chewy sticks at your pet store. You can train them not to bite with apple bitter spray. Ask for it at your pet store. They dont like the taste. Yes it's safe.... You can spray it on your hands. Or you can, when ever they bite, spray them with it in they're mouth. ONLY SPRAY ONCE!! Even if your mad please spray only once. Cause they don't know in the beginning.
