  1. This could be an upper respitory infection (URI) Your pig needs to see a vet. This could be very serious.

Please don't assume this is nothing.

  2. Take to vet...to make sure...don't want to take a chance!:)

  3. Yeah i just checked the net & was suprised it is normal. I have a guinea pig too. It is something to do with the natural cleansing fluid the G pig creates. But check this site

  4. well with what i just read there's nothing wrong with it, read this (look at the section called eyes)

    I hope it helps

  5. I read on this site that sometimes the dustier beddings can cause irritation, or it could've scratched its eye while burrowing under it's bedding.  I'd imagine wipe it off, and try maybe changing bedding?

  6. If he is fine in all other ways the white fluid is called grooming fluid. It's an odd thing but that's what it is and it's perfectly normal. Some have more than others.

  7. wipe it off with warm boiled water if its really yukky otherwise leave it. If eye starts clouding over it may have scratched it or got scratched by hay/straw. If so you can get an eyecream from vet to clear it up quick.
