My guinea pig eats but she doesn't drink. I'm pretty sure she's quite healthy and all but I'm just worried that she doesn't drink.

  1. If she seems perfectly happy she probably is drinking. Have you looked to see if her water bottle has become emptier? And does she regularly eat vegetables with a high water content?

  2. I had a guinea pig for 5 years and it lived on cucumber, she never drank water from a bottle or a bowl and we tryed everthing on the market....

  3. Put some in a bowl,, put some on you finer so it licks it of..

    Put water of its food

  4. My guinea pig seemed like he wouldn't drink either it depends some times where you got the guina pig beacuse some times people make the guinea pigs drink out of a bowl on the other hand the guinea pig may drink while no one is around beacuse it is shy. keep watching the water level each day if it doesn't go down go see the vet.

  5. My Guinea Pig doesn't drink much at all. Keep an eye on the water level and as long as its going down then she must be drinking something. I would take her to the vet though if she isn't drinking anything.

I wouldn't put a bowl in, Guinea Pigs aren't like rabbits and by putting a bowl in you will end up with wet guinea pigs and wet bedding.

  6. maybe try putting water in a bowl and see if your guinea pig drink out of a little bowl.

If not maybe after a while your guinea pig will get really thirsty and drink a lot of water, but idk!

  7. Keep an eye on the water level to see if its going down. If shes not drinking then put in a shallow bowl of water, she may prefer this. The downside to a water bowl is the bedding may get wet but its a risk you should take to make sure she is getting liquid in her. If she still wont drink seek vetinary advice, she may be ill.

  8. I had the same problem when i had my guinea pig, I just found a small bowl and put water in it and she was fine drinking it out of that.

Hope this works for your guinea pig .

  9. i would take her to the vet just to check becuase sometimes they might have something wrong with her stomache, maybe someone (i'm not hinting at you-honest.) squeezed her bottle and it squirted at her and she got scared. try giveing her a shallow bowwl of water and experiment. but deff take her to the vet

  10. Give it a shallow bowl of water

  11. well u could try a bowl of water but she may knock it over!!

  12. I KNOW MY ANSWER SOUND CRUEL but my hamsters also have the same problem with yours.well..i force them to drink it . then a few day passed ...and my hamsters already used to drink in bottle

  13. put a tiny small pot of water but really small! very little water in

is the bottel to big for the guinea pig it may find it hard to drink from!!

if not go to a pet shop they may be able to find the answer.

    good luck.
