This morning I tried to tune my guitar - because it was just a little bit off - with my auto tuner, and now my guitar is EXTREMELY out of tune. When i strum the E string, the red light blinks that it is flat, but if i turn the k**b to make it sharp, it shows that it's too sharp.. it's like there is no in between! i don't know what to do, this is happening with all of my strings - i can't get the light to blink green no matter what.. and yesterday it was perfectly tuned using the same device. i'm freaking out, what do i do?

  1. High E or Low E?

You really only need to get the Low E string in tune, and you can do the rest by ear if you need too.

If you think your tuner is off, then just go online and use an online guitar tuner thatll play an E note for you, and you can match it as close as you can... then you can use your tuner to get it even closer.

Sometimes if the note is reallly far off, tuners get confused because its off their tuning scale. This especially happens with the high E....

  2. when u r tuning a string, keep strumming the string every 1-2 seconds until see the light turn green. if it starts blinking green and red then leave it cuz then its pretty close to the tune. or just get a better tuner
