Question:

My gum is falling away.

I noticed the other day during dinner that my gum had come loose in between two of my teeth. In the little ditch in between two of my teeth the gum has come loose to a flap of some sorts. The tooth that is there has been in for a while and it just recently came in some more. Is this the cause of it? By the way I am thirteen if that helps. Let me know if you need more details. This has not happened to any other areas of my gum.

  1. Yes that is perfectly normal when new teeth come in, dont worry, your gum is not falling away!

  2. I use to have a problem sort of like that. Food would get stuck in a part of my gum in the back that was really deep, i'd sit for hours sometimes with a toothpick digging at my gums (they'd bleed). But ever since i'v gotten braces i haven't had that problem. And, i'm 13 too, so, that happend when i was 10-12. Next time you see the dentist ask them about it.
