My gum will not go down helpp.?

i got my braces off 3 months ago and i have this one gum that will not go down.

i brush at least 3 times a day with my electric toothbrush and i also floss daily and use fluoride.

but it will not go down.

  1. Try gargling with a mixture of salt and water every hour. If you have any infection building up in your gum this will definitely kill it. This should also help in the removal of any food or gunk that could be clogged up in there. In the mean time if you are in pain, use Orajel and that should help it temporarily. If you continue doing these things and it doesn't show mass improvement in about a week I would visit your dentist and see if he/she can take a look at it.  


  2. There could be a chunk of calculus that developed while you were in braces, under the gums in that area and is bothering your gums.  See your dentist or hygienist for a cleaning and let them check out this area thoroughly.
