Towards the back of my mouth where my teeth end (left side) my gums hurt. It feels like a sharp pain, kinda like a splinter. Also on the right side, the gum underneath the very back tooth hurts when i toutch it, also like a splinter.

I also have a phobia of the dentist (i start shaking and even cry sometimes) every time i go, so i dont want to make an appointment unless absolutly nessary. Can i deal with this myself?

  1. They have some gas you can ask for that really calms you down when you go to the dentist now.  I love it. Now I can go without feeling afraid.

Hope you go now.  It's not a problem anymore.

  2. It might be your wisdom teeth.

contact your dentist and ask for some advice

  3. It is always good to take care of what you've got.  One reason is that there is no substitute for a healthy set of teeth.  We all have this attitude with a lot of things - we can always fix what went wrong, but with teeth that cannot be always the case.  Cleaning and keeping teeth in a healthy condition is easy in the first place then repairing it.  Painful and swollen gums should be reduced, and in the long run you may realize that it is far better to prevent pain and infection ahead of time than curing the problem that has already developed.  Poor dental health can have an impact on much more than just the state of the mouth.  Having poor oral health can get medical problems like heart disease, strokes, diabetes, premature and low birth weight babies and lung disease become far-fetched.
