My gums hurt! Wat's wrong with them?

The other day, I was biting my nails. I missed and my nail scratched my gum. It usually hurts for like 10 minutes and then it feels better. Yesterday, I felt the pain in my gums. A liitle part where my nail scratched it, it really red. Before I went out, I put on Mercudo. I don't know if anyone heard of it. Anyway, it hurts! Will it go away? R there ways to cure it?

It definately sounds like it got infected.  keep it clean and you can apply a neosporin ointment on it.  Most important is to keep it clean.  rinse mouth often.  If you have to,  put gauze with neosporin on it over it and hold it for a while.  rinse with hydrogen peroxide diluted with water.
