My guns turn white after using Listerine, why does it do this ?

It stings like h**l and my gums turn white, after about an hour they return to normal. Why does this happen ? Do my gums not like Listerine or is there another problem going on ? My gums are fairly pale normally but they turn totally white when I use Listerine. I brush 3 times a day with an electric toothbrush.

Listerine has got a heck of alot of alcohol in it which burns your gums. This is why it stings like h**l.

Sometimes I see people who overuse listerine with alcohol burns in their mouth.

You should switch to a mouthwash with less alcohol in it if you don't want to burn your mouth.
