Question:

My guppies have red gills?

their gills are very red... and the areator*airiator?lol* is working fine..and they dont stay at the top all the time so i was thinking its not air/oxygen or what?

  1. It sounds like they have ammonia burn. You should check your water parameters with a test kit. Then do a 25% water change every 3 days until you notice the water parameters stay at the healthy level.

    You should act on this quick because they can die from too much ammonia in the tank, and guppies aren't the strongest fish.


  2. Its ammonia burn. I have the smae problem with my guppies. Try doing water changes every 2-3 days. 25% is okay. I normally do 50% water changes.
