I have a ten gallon tank 5 danios and 3 guppies. I noticed recently that the fins and around the mouth of my largest female guppy are turning dark greenish blackish. I don't know if this means she is getting sick, or if this is normal. I should also mention that the male died within the last few hours of what i believe was ich. A snail also died within the last day, but that may be unrelated, as i don't know how old the snail was. I routinely do water changes and replace the filter. Though this time the filter was extremely dirty and clogged. Does anyone know what's wrong with my tank?

  1. Its is probably mouth fungus. I cured this with my dalmatian mollies by stopping feeding for a couple days at a time and decreasing the tempurture

  2. sounds like ICK

but i dont think ICK is green.............. treat the water and consult a vet if your that worried

  3. you need to get the water tested. You may have a fungal outbreak in your tank. Start treating once your water has been tested.
