Question:

My hair curls right up after I straighten it :(?

I spend a long time on my hair, with blow-drying it, and then using a flat iron. After this process I come to find out that using a flat iron is not doing me any good because it curls right back up and becomes frizzy! I have no clue what to do! Help? thanks

  1. mine does the same thing, try spraying a little bit of hairspray or use some kind of a hair straightening product. sometimes spraying gel on before straightening works too.

  2. Have you tried using straightning balms before straightning your hair? I know tresemme has a straightning gel that you put on damp hair and then blow dry and then straighten and it works pretty well. Also use a heat protectant spray while straightening, you'll see less frizz and will damage your hair less. Aveda make a great Hang Straight smoothing serum, its a little pricy but to me its worth it. I would try the tresemme first to see if you see any difference before opting for a more expensive type

  3. Maybe you need a better hair straightener? Con-air straighteners are cheap and seem to work well. Or you could just spray some hairspray after you straighten. Blasting your hair with cold air right after you straighten works as well.

  4. hi.... only solution i know is get a chi...

  5. have it thinned

  6. Try anti-humidifying sprays. If you're willing to spend the sixty bucks, you could even try going to a salon and getting your hair straightened there. Watch their technique in keeping your hair straight all day. Talk to them while they're doing your hair. Ask them questions about the best way to keep it straight all day. You don't have to keep going back to the salon - I DO NOT mean that!! I mean, just ask them and figure out the best way to keep it straight all day offa them.
