Stupidly I put lightening gel in my color-treated hair. The color didn't change much, but it did make my hair dry and course, but my hair is naturally fine and silky! Leave-in conditioner helped, but it still feels bushy and tangled. What do I do? I have a ton of deep conditioners, but I feel like they might just add buildup. I need help!

  2. nope your deep conditioners will not add build up and they WILL help your hair. Shampoo with a gentle cleansing moisturizing shampoo, squeeze off excess water from your hair and u can mix one or two of your favorite deep conditioners with some olive oil. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes. U can apply a damp towel heat from your blow dryer too, cuz heat opens the hair cuticle and absorbs the conditioner. Then rinse with COLD water. Cold water will seal the cuticle locking in the moisture and u will reap the benefits all the way. Hope this helps hun :))

  3. Do you use shampoo for color treated hair? It works really well. I guess your best bet is to just take a shower and rinse rinse rinse REALLY good!

  4. you aren't supposed to but conditioner on the top of you head anyway. set apart an after noon where you decide not to do anything, wet your hair, and put in a HUGE glob of conditioner on your hair, but not by your scalp. keep it in for HOURS, i kid you not.

it works kind of like dye, the longer you keep it on your hair, the better it will work.

especialy if its a deep conditioner, it should make it really nice in no time :)

  5. When you wash your hair use warm-hot water then apply a good moisturizing conditioner. The hot water opens the cuticle and allows the contioner to penetrate better. Then rinse your hair in the coldest water you can stand to have on your head so it closes the cuticle back up. Avoid blow dryers, curling irons, anything that will heat your hair because this will just make it drier.

  6. you could try soaking your hair in milk........
