I have thick relaxed shoulder length hair. I straighten it every time I wash and the end result is thick and poofy. I use a solia flat iron which is pretty good but are there any good hair products out there that can make my hair flatter? Thanks.

  1. sunsilk

  2. I got an ionicic treatment. Your hair stays strait FOREVER until you hair grows out and replaces your ionic hair. It's great. Go to a salon and ask about this! (it's pretty expensive though)

  3. SILKSUN!! FOR PUFFY HAIR

IF NOT GO TO SALLYS AND ASK THEM THEY SHOULD KNOW EVERY PRODUCT IN THE STORE AN CAN RECOMMEND SOMETHING FOR YOU!!!!

  4. I, too, have thick long hair and this is what I do:

after washing it use a deep moisturizing conditioner and sit under a dryer about 10 minutes - then I rinse it and use Lottabody to set it on 2 inch magnetic rollers

Now after about 3 hours its dry and I use Paul Mitchell's Skinny Serum to add gloss. At this point its very puffy because it has a lot of volume and body but you must wrap it tightly.

I wrap it tightly and tie it down with a satin scarf. The next day its perfect. It doesn't have the volume but the body and it doesn't react as fast to the humidity and elements.

Good luck...I know your pain all too well.

  5. products are not always a necessity. when you wash your hair use conditioner. DRY your hair before you straighten it. then straighten your hair in thin layers. it takes some time but it really works

  6. Hey... Even I have da same problem... Jus try applying LIVON.... It will keep ur hair straight and manageable...

  7. Bed Head After Party and Paul Mitchell Super Skinny are really good serums that help you get a sleek, shiny, and less poofy look :D

    Good Luck :D
