My hair is breaking since I applied texturizure to it.

Its breaking everytime I comb it.... Am I gonna have to cut it because I don't want to, but does this affect my hair growth? I have been growing it fr 3 months now.

  1. I would consider cutting it all off and starting again, and see about some kind of scalp treatment.  They have scalp treatments in drug stores.  If you are a guy, this should not be the end of the world.

  2. You might have to get a small trim to stop the breakage. I was growing my hair for over a year, but it started breaking which made it harder to keep growing out. I got it trimmed, just the tips, and it seems better now. Not sure why the texturizer would cause breakage, that's weird... But yeah, maybe trim it, and definitely stop using the stuff.

  3. um well it sounds like your hair is not taking to the texturizure very well. stop using that product and see what happens

  4. If your hair is breaking, I'll suggest you use aphogee 2 step protein treatment. It temporary strengthens and rebonds the broken hair but must be done every 4-6 weeks.I'd strongly recommend you buy it (you can find it at sally's)  then you take it to your stylist so that they can apply it for you (because it needs a hooded dryer for the application). The smell isn't that great but it really works:

you can read lot's of reviews of people that used it here:

Ps.it doesn't affect you hair growth but since it breaks you loose some length .

  5. Your hair could be breaking for a number of reasons.1did you apply the texurizure on hair that already had some other type of chemical on it?Color counts as a chemical also.Maybe you left the tex.on too long?Either one could cause overprocessing which causes breakage. It want effect your hair growth unless you burnt your scalp. If not your hair will still grow at it's normal rate. The thing is stopping it from breaking off once it's outside of the scalp.I suggest a good trim and a protien packed conditioner asap. The protien cond. should stop the breakage immiediatly.Good luck

  6. You may have to go to the salon and gat a treatment and let them trim it to get some repair done.

  7. I think it could be a reaction to the texturizure, but I don't really know to be sure. You could ask the stylist before you do any cutting and what not. Have you tried searching the web for any answers? Does the textureizure have any caution stuff, like effects after using the product?

  8. the best thing i have done for my hair is to use tons of conditioner. hydrated hair doesn't break as easily as dry hair. i have very long hair and it's normal to lose some hair when you comb or style it. maybe try some deep conditioning masks or hot oil treatments as well (you can get them at drugstores or walmart). i don't think you'll need to cut it, just moisturize like crazy

  9. um hey I'm a hairstylist and i would say to get some really good conditioner or olive oil and put it on your hair every night when you go to bed and sleep in it. and just rinse thoroughly in the mornings. you should probably go get a trim and talk to your stylist about it. it depends on where(on your hair shaft) its breaking as to weather it will effect growth.
