  1. your period can release hormones in your body that may cause your hair to be oily every so often just as it can make the skin on your face oily. other possibilities are switching shampoos or a change in diet. Try washing it every day and if you don't have the time buy a shampoo for oily hair and use it when you are having the problem, also don't condition your roots only your ends. (herbal essences makes a good cheap shampoo for oily hair.)

  2. If you've been doing more activity than usual and it's causing you to sweat a little more, this could cause it. It could also be because of your period. Also, don't wash with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. This will add extra oils to your hair and will only make it worse.

  3. wash it every day & don't put conditioner up near your roots

  4. you know, its happens nightly as you sleep, your body naturally replenishes the oil in your hair, (since it is actually needed) but climate can actually affect the way your hair is reacting too. is it hot in your house/room at night? do you sweat? that certainly can have a lot to account for the condition of your hair.

  5. Switch shampoos and condition less often
