I know about Recessive and Dominant genes, and I'm pretty sure that blonde is a recessive gene and I KNOW that brown is dominant. When I was like three, my hair was white blonde, but its gotten darker is now on the border between blonde and brown, so which gene do I have? A trivial and possibly dumb question, but its one that has been bugging me!

  1. Hair colour is actually controlled by many genes working in complex relationships. You may have a mixture of dominant- recessive and co-dominant genes. These genes also get expressed at diffrent times through out your life (hence why your hair colour is changing.)

Light colours tend to be recessive however, so it's likely you have some recessive blond genes.
